![]() ![]() But I know how to utilize status effects and put in work with Ember's flexibility. I didn't even get to play with 4xCP when I took Ember to victory in the Phoenix Escalation event via max range Accelerant. And I almost never get to play with 4xCP. I generally find when missions go long that Ember's damage shoots past allies because World on Fire is easy to apply to and is just so much extra damage on top of Accelerant boosted weapons. Before that the uptime on WoF isn't high because enemies die too quickly. Ember's damage doesn't even fully turn on until you go past 35 minutes when the persistent burn procs and WoF blasts start to be factored in. Yes, Ember is mana hungry but if I'm going to late game you can bet I'll be supporting myself and my team with Large Shield and Energy Restores, enough to maintain Accelerant and World on Fire as much as I need to. You can also distribute burn procs yourself via Fireball or Fire Blast. WoF favors enemies who aren't already burning so it's really consistent with its burn distribution. I understand why you feel this way about new Ember, but I'm gonna respectfully disagree. My experience her burn procs are quite reliable if you have +60% or better power strength. Playing with her is a blast (pardon the pun) now, juggling your fire meter and using her 1, 3 and 4 to melt everything in front of you. I've had her since about early 2018 (I started playing november 2017) and never used her much because in my opinion, she basically had 1 ability and nothing else going for her fireball dealt very little damage and the flame field even less, accelerant was little more than a stun on any level beyond the starchart, and flame wave was basically useless (again, this is all my opinion) she also died really fast on most high level content and then DE went and nerfed world on fire.Īfter the nerf she sat forgotten in my inventory for a long time.Īfter the rework saved her, she quickly climbed positions in my profile, and now IIRC she sits at my 6th or 7th most used. Other reworks want to be Ember's when they grow up. IMO the current, post-rework Ember is the gold standard for frame reworks. How did you guys feel after the rework? Was there any good reason? Anyone felt more inclined to play Ember after the rework? I really liked Ember's old kit (yes, maybe some people will call it press 4 to win and vacuum the energy orbs, but the nullifier was a good counter on corpus/void), but even if there was need to change the devs could come up with something a little more elegant, perhaps? I get that this is a game about magic space ninjas and it is not intended to be realistic by definition, but the meteor was a little too much for me to handle. I don't know the reason for that, but I got a little disappointed with it. to kill 3 or 4 grunts.įrom what I checked the rework is from the second half of 2019, update 26. I got very very sad when I pressed 4 and. I rejoined the game after 4 years, took the dust of my Ember Primet, got my lotus Kubrow out of stasis and embarked on a grineer ship to remember hiw combat works.
